An open letter signed by over 1,200 school leaders – facilitated by Can Can – made headlines in the Sunday Times.
Using our extensive network of primary school leaders, we collected signatures from heads, governors and other senior figures in schools across the country. The letter, outlining the reasons why SATs and other primary assessments should not go ahead this year, was the lead item on the Sunday Times letters page, sparking extensive debate on social media. It also encouraged many more headteachers to join our core group of school leaders speaking out on this critical issue.
