Save Our Schools, the parent campaign against school funding cuts, delivered more than 30,000 messages in bottles from children to the government, in a highly imaginative day of action. Supported on the day by Steve Coogan, the event won mass media attention (ITV, BBC, Sky, Channel 5, The Daily Mail, The Independent, The New Statesman, amongst others) and helped launch Save Our Schools on a national platform. The campaign has contributed to schools receiving additional funding from government and a commitment from all main political parties to adequately fund schools.
